The Remix Collective

The Org: A living breathing social enterprise rooted in the intersection of learning and healing.

Special Sauce: Our niche is remixing wisdom across seemingly unrelated fields for innovation.

Who: We are a collective of researcher-practitioners remixing soul in pursuit of innovation focused on nurturing inherited and chosen intergenerational family systems.

The North Star: training the next generation of soulful teacher-healers. We are building an ecosystem where learning and healing are integrated fields with shared practices. Our work centers on a simple premise: when educators are trained to teach with soul and supported in their own healing, communities thrive.

The Big 3:

  1. A flagship site in Aurora, CO

  2. A growing network of trained teacher-healers

  3. A platform that unlocks community-based learning at scale

Why Does this matter?

  • Families are seeking alternatives to traditional school systems

  • Educators are underprepared for teaching with soul (the art of teaching + the science of learning)

  • Healing and learning remain artificially separated

We are building infrastructure for a different future that anticipates the rise of Ai in education will naturally drive demand towards tech-free learning environments that authentically and meaningfully center the soul of the learner. We envision a world where: learning & healing is human, communal, and co-created.

How It Works

  • The Grove → site of practice and community engagement

  • Teach Like An Artist → develops the people doing the work

  • Home Grown → connects families and scales access

Ecosystem FLOW

Together, they form a feedback loop: Train → Practice → Connect → Expand

What We’re Building Toward

The Model

We operate three interconnected initiatives that function as a single ecosystem:

1. The Grove

A place to practice.

The Grove is a family learning and healing center based in Aurora. It serves as a live training site where educators, healers, and families come together in direct practice.

  • Family-centered learning experiences

  • Youth enrichment and creative programming

  • Integrated healing services (therapy, bodywork, spiritual care)

  • A community space designed for belonging and restoration

Think: a neighborhood hub where learning, care, and culture coexist.

2. Teach Like An Artist

Training to teach with soul requires play!

Teach Like An Artist is our professional development and training arm. We train educators to:

  • Teach with creativity, presence, and relational depth

  • Integrate healing-informed practices into learning environments

  • Move beyond compliance-based instruction toward co-creation to inspire genius

This is not traditional PD. Our teachers learn through play so they do the same with their students starting at The Grove and then eventually at their placement sites with our partners (in and out of system).

3. Home Grown

A way to connect and scale.

Example of enrichment opportunities

Home Grown is a technology platform designed to make community-based learning accessible.

It helps families:

  • Find one another and form learning communities

  • Access enrichment opportunities at The Grove and beyond

  • Navigate public funding and resources

  • Curate values-aligned educational experiences

Home Grown coordinates our efforts to build a movement that can be driven by families.
